63 • Clause 2 – Amended the requirements by added speci-fic condition for labelling of food additive derived from mixing together with two or more kinds of food additi-ves which to be sold to food manufacturers or used as raw materials in food processing but not sold directly to consumer or sold to food additive packer. However, the following 2 cases may not required to declared percen-tage of food additive on the label or in manual or the documents relating to the sale. 1) The manufactures or importers of food additives for applying in their own food product (or the same trade-mark of such manufactures or importers), or 2) The manufactures or importers of food additives for sale to food manufacturers with agreement to provide infor-mation of percentage of food additives. It is composed of 6 chapters 33 sections. • Integrate “general display panel” and “other display panel” into “information display panel”, and suggest standards for “principal display panel” and “information display panel”. • Require the use a font size of 10 or greater when displaying labelling information. • Prohibit the use of “sesame” or “perilla” as the product name or part of the product name of edible oils and fats other than sesame oil and perilla oil. • Allow the omission of allergen labelling for alcoholic beve-rages and spirits. • Allow the attachment of stickers on packages of products in their natural state. • Delete the provision which requires the labelling of content for processed fruit and vegetable products (which have un-dergone simple processing) if the content may be identi-fied through sensory analysis. • Add the definition of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). • Delete the term ‘natural additives’ from the provision regar-ding the labelling of the word “Natural”. • Deregulate the labelling provision on spice product. • For the Korean labelling of imported foods, allow the labe-lling according to Korean orthography principles of foreign languages. • Clarification on the expiration date labelling of imported products from exporting countries which don’t require the labelling of expiration date. • For compound raw ingredients, amend the labelling from the current five items to all items. • For imported apparatus, allow the labelling of ‘Name of En-trusted Manufacturer(Country of Origin)’ instead of ‘Name of Manufacturer’.
