This standard specifies the formaldehyde emission limit of wood-based panels and finishing products for indoor decorating and refurbishing as well as test methods, decision rules and the inspection report re-quirements thereof. The standard applies to the for-maldehyde emission amount of wood-based panels and finishing products, such as fibreboard, particle-board, plywood, blockboard, reconstituted decorative lumber, laminated veneer lumber, glued-laminated timber, surface decorated wood-based panel, wood-based floor, wood-based panel, wood-based door, and wood-based window. Section 104 of the Consumer Product Safety Improve-ment Act of 2008 (CPSIA) requires the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) to promulgate consumer product safety standards for durable infant or toddler products. These standards are to be “substantially the same as” ap-plicable voluntary standards, or more stringent than the voluntary standard if the Commission concludes that more stringent requirements would further re-duce the risk of injury associated with the product. The Commission is proposing a safety standard for booster seats in response to the direction under section 104(b) of the CPSIA. In addition, the Commission is proposing an amendment to include booster seats in the list of notice of requirements (NORs) issued by the Commis-sion. This Order seeks to ensure conformity to Steel and Steel Products listed in the Schedule to the specified Indian Standard. The Order read together with ITC (HS), 2012 Schedule 1 - Import Policy (General Notes Regard-ing Import Policy) applies to domestic production as well as imports. The Order makes it mandatory for all manufacturers (in India and abroad) of steel and steel products as given in the Schedule to the Order, to ob-tain valid license from the Bureau of Indian Standards for use of the standard mark before commencement of regular production of such items. Further, no per-son shall manufacture, store for sale, sell, distribute or import any steel and steel products given in the said Schedule, which do not conform to the specified stand-ards and do not bear standard mark of the Bureau on obtaining certification marks license.
